SUPERIOR COURT OF STATE OF CALIFORNIA
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
Case No. 21STCV05609

THE COURT GRANTED FINAL APPROVAL TO THE SETTLEMENT ON DECEMBER 19, 2022.

If you worked for Los Angeles Atlantic Express Corp. in California as a non-exempt, hourly employee any time from February 11, 2017 to February 11, 2022 this class action lawsuit may affect your rights.

Court has preliminarily approved a class action Settlement, which will affect all employees who worked as non-exempt employees for Los Angeles Atlantic Express Corp. from February 11, 2017 to February 11, 2022.  This lawsuit is about whether Los Angeles Atlantic Express Corp. (“Defendant”) paid wages and overtime, provided meal periods, provided rest breaks, paid all wages owed upon termination of employment, provided proper wage statements, to non-exempt employees as required by applicable California laws and engaged in violations of the California Private Attorneys General Act (“PAGA”).

The Court has not decided whether the lawsuit has merit. In other words, the Court has not determined whether Defendant has violated any law; it has not decided in favor of either Plaintiff or Defendant. Instead, both sides have agreed to resolve the lawsuit with no decision or admission regarding who is right or wrong. By agreeing to resolve the lawsuit, all parties avoid the risks and cost of a trial.
